Nick Latinovic joined Drobny in December 2015 from the Point72 macro team. Prior to Point72, Latinovic served as a portfolio manager and strategist at Commonwealth Opportunity Capital in Greenwich, a billion dollar macro fund seeded by prestigious macro investors. Latinovic began his career at JMB Capital in Los Angeles, also a billion dollar hedge fund, where he served as the primary macro strategist for the firm. Latinovic earned his MA in Economics from New York University where his thesis focused on “Predicting Currency Crises.” Latinovic also earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics from McGill University in Montreal where he graduated with Great Distinction and received the JW McConnell award for Academic Excellence. Latinovic is also the recipient of the Drobny Guest Research Award (Geneva 2012) for his piece “Gold: A Change of View and Gold Volatility” authored in November 2011.
